What does our pitch say about the manager?

Our pitch is as small as you are allowed.
Is this because the owners want to get the fans as far away from the pitch before the move so they can use it as reasoning for the OS viewing distances?
Or
Is it because Allardyce can get stifle teams from playing and condense all areas?

Assuming the Premiership is following its rules, correct.
According to those same handbooks the pitch was also narrower before Allardyce took over (2010/2011) than it is now.
